Got a question?

Here are helpful answers to common queries about treatment, access and appointments. If you need anything else, just get in touch – we’re here to help.

How much does a Sports Massage cost?

A 60-minute appointment is £65. We find this allows enough time for a thorough assessment and effective deep tissue work.

Will the massage hurt?

Deep tissue work can sometimes feel uncomfortable on very tight areas (“good pain”), but it should never be unbearable. Your therapist will constantly check in with you to adjust the pressure.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is best. You may be asked to undress down to your underwear for the treatment, but you will be covered with towels at all times to respect your privacy.

Do I need to be an athlete to book?

Absolutely not. While we treat many athletes, we also see office workers, busy parents, and retirees. Anyone suffering from muscle tension or stress can benefit.

How long are the sessions?

We offer 60-minute appointments, recommended for a full-body MOT, complex issues or for targeting a specific areas like the neck or calves.

Can I claim this on my health insurance?

Most health insurance policies cover physiotherapy but may not cover standalone massage therapy. Please check with your provider beforehand. If massage is part of your physio treatment plan, it may be covered.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your issue. For general maintenance, once a month is common. For an acute issue or injury recovery, you might benefit from a short course of weekly sessions.

Is this different from a spa massage?

Yes. While relaxation is a benefit, our focus is clinical. We aim to identify and treat specific tissue restrictions and pain, rather than just providing a soothing experience.
