Got a question?

Here are helpful answers to common queries about treatment, access and appointments. If you need anything else, just get in touch – we’re here to help.

How much does physiotherapy cost?

We believe in transparency and value. An Initial Assessment is £105 (up to 1 hour) and Follow-up treatment sessions are 30 to 45 minutes from £62 upwards.

Do I need a GP referral to book?

No, you do not need a referral. You can book directly with us. Our senior team is trained to assess, diagnose, and treat without prior medical notes. If we believe you need a scan or consultant opinion, we can arrange that referral for you.

Can I use my private medical insurance?

Yes, we are registered with major insurers including AXA and BUPA. However, many patients choose to self-pay to avoid the session limits or treatment restrictions often imposed by insurance policies, ensuring they get the exact care they need.

Who will treat me?

You will be treated exclusively by a Senior Physiotherapist. Halo is a specialist clinic, meaning we do not employ junior staff or recent graduates. You get access to decades of clinical experience and diagnostic expertise in every single session.

What happens during the Initial Assessment?

We don’t just look at the painful area; we look at the “whole person.” Your session includes a detailed discussion of your relevent medical history, a physical examination to assist in finding the root cause which typically includes hands-on treatment and a bespoke recovery plan to start immediately.

How many sessions will I need?

We don’t believe in open-ended “maintenance” for the sake of it. In your first session, we will map out a realistic timeline based on your goals. Most issues require a structured block of rehab to build lasting resilience, but we will be honest about what is achievable from day one.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. To properly assess how you move, we may need you to undress to the level of the injury (e.g., removing a shirt for a shoulder issue or wearing shorts for a knee problem).

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is parking available on the premises at Camden House. Detailed directions will be provided when you book your initial assessment and again in your booking confirmation to ensure your arrival is stress-free.
