Rebuild Your Strength. Guided Post-Operative Physio in Kenilworth for Rehabilitation.

Guided Recovery, From Day One

A successful surgery relies heavily on what happens next. Standard hospital follow-ups can often feel rushed or generic, leaving you unsure of what is safe to do. At Halo, we provide dedicated, one-to-one expertise. We follow a principle-led framework that integrates pain modulation, targeted strengthening, and functional reintegration, ensuring you rebuild resilience and return to daily life safely.

Joint Replacements & Orthopaedics Treatment

Recovering from a joint replacement, such as a new hip or knee, requires more than just time. Early on, you may experience significant swelling, muscle inhibition, and a fear of moving the new joint. Our senior clinicians guide you through a phased rehabilitation process. We focus on safely managing post-operative pain, restoring your functional range of motion, and progressively rebuilding the surrounding muscle strength, ensuring your new joint supports your long-term independence and active lifestyle.

Significant joint effusion

and post-operative swelling

Pain-related fear

and avoidance of everyday movements

Arthrogenic muscle inhibition

(difficulty activating your muscles)

Stiffness and heavily

restricted range of motion

Sports Surgeries & Soft Tissue Treatment

Surgeries like ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, and Achilles tendon operations require a highly structured, performance-focused approach. Generic, bed-based exercises will not cut it. We take you through clear, criteria-driven phases of recovery, from initial protection and swelling reduction to restoring elastic function and plyometric power. By carefully reconditioning your tissues to handle real-world mechanical loads, we ensure you can return to your sport safely, robustly, and with total psychological readiness.

Severe muscle atrophy (wasting)

in the affected limb

Inability to bear weight

or walk without crutches safely

Deep stiffness

and lack of flexibility in the repaired tendon

Fear of the joint "giving way"

or re-rupturing during activity

Pre-Hab & Surgical Scar Therapy

Rehabilitation doesn’t only start after the operation. “Pre-hab” involves targeted exercises before your surgery to build muscle capacity and mobility, which has been proven to significantly speed up post-operative recovery timelines. Additionally, once your surgical incisions have healed, thick or tight scar tissue can restrict movement and cause deep discomfort. We offer specialist Restore scar therapy and tissue massage to improve flexibility, reduce pain, and optimise your recovery from orthopaedic, abdominal, and general surgeries.

Significant muscle weakness

while waiting for an operation

A feeling of being physically unprepared

for major surgery

Thick, raised, or hypersensitive

post-surgical scars

A pulling or tight sensation

around the healed incision line

Got a question?

Here are helpful answers to common queries about treatment, access and appointments. If you need anything else, just get in touch – we’re here to help.

How much does a post-op assessment cost?

An initial comprehensive assessment is £105, allowing us ample time to review your surgical notes and begin treatment. Follow-ups are £62.

How soon after surgery can I start physiotherapy?

This depends entirely on your specific procedure and your surgeon’s protocols. Contact us, and we can advise you on the optimal time to begin.

Do I need a referral from my surgeon?

While a referral isn’t strictly necessary, we do ask that you bring your discharge notes or surgical protocol so we can align our rehab plan perfectly.

Will the rehabilitation exercises hurt?

Post-op rehab can be uncomfortable as tissues stretch and strengthen, but it should not be acutely painful. We carefully guide you to ensure safe loading.

Do you offer "Pre-hab" before my surgery?

Yes. Preparing your body by building strength and mobility before an operation has been proven to significantly improve and speed up your post-operative recovery.

Can you help with tight or painful surgical scars?

Absolutely. We have a specialist who is fully trained in Restore scar therapy, which gently softens tissue, reduces sensitivity, and improves restricted mobility.

How long will my recovery take?

Recovery timelines vary wildly, a minor scope might take weeks, while an ACL reconstruction takes 9 to 12 months. We outline a realistic timeframe immediately.

Why choose private physio over my hospital follow-up?

We offer longer, 1:1 appointments, access to active gym equipment, and progressive, tailored support that goes far beyond generic, bed-based exercise sheets.
