Regain Your Balance and Confidence

Dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems can make everyday life unpredictable and overwhelming. Whether the room feels like it’s spinning or you’re struggling with unsteadiness when your turn your head, you don’t have to live in fear. At Halo, our specialist BPPV physiotherapist provides targeted assessments and proven treatments to resolve your symptoms and safely get you moving with confidence again.

BPPV & Vertigo Treatment

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common inner ear condition that causes intense, brief episodes of dizziness or a spinning sensation when you move your head. It can be incredibly distressing but is highly treatable. Our specialist physiotherapist uses proven clinical repositioning techniques, such as the Epley or Semont manoeuvres, to safely clear the inner ear crystals causing the issue. Most patients experience significant, if not total, relief within just one or two treatment sessions, quickly restoring normal daily function.

Balance Issues & Fall Prevention

General balance issues can develop due to ageing, joint stiffness, muscle weakness, or neurological conditions, significantly increasing your risk of a fall. Feeling unsteady strips away your independence and confidence. We provide comprehensive, tailored balance rehabilitation programmes to help you regain your footing. By combining targeted strength training, proprioception exercises, and mobility work, we safely rebuild your physical stability and coordination, empowering you to navigate your home and community safely, independently, and without the constant fear of falling.

Got a question?

Here are helpful answers to common queries about treatment, access and appointments. If you need anything else, just get in touch – we’re here to help.

Can I drive to my appointment?

Because treatment can temporarily make you feel dizzy, woozy, or unbalanced, we strongly recommend having a friend or family member drive you to and from your initial appointment.

How much does a vestibular assessment cost?

An initial specialist assessment is £105, which allows ample time for a complex diagnosis and your first treatment. Follow-up appointments are £62.

What actually happens during a BPPV assessment?

We safely and gently move your head into specific positions on the treatment bed to observe your eye movements. This tells us exactly which part of the inner ear is affected.

Will the treatment make me feel dizzy?

The assessment and treatment manoeuvres will temporarily provoke your dizziness, but this is a completely necessary and safe part of fixing the problem quickly. We guide you through it carefully.

Do I need an MRI or to see an ENT consultant first?

No, you can self-refer directly to us. If your symptoms require further medical investigation, we will refer you back to your GP or directly to an ENT specialist.

How quickly will my vertigo go away?

If you have BPPV, treatments like the Epley manoeuvre are highly effective. Many patients experience a complete resolution of their spinning symptoms in just one to three sessions.

Is BPPV rehab just for older people?

Not at all. While general balance issues are more common as we age, conditions like BPPV and post-viral dizziness can affect active adults of any age.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and flat shoes. You will be lying down and moving around on the treatment bed, so comfort and flexibility are key.
