Train with confidence. Expert Sports Therapy in Kenilworth

Exercise-led rehabilitation that takes you from “feeling better” to fully back in action. Rebuild strength, refine how you move and return to the sport and activities you love.

From Feeling Better to Fully Back

Getting out of pain is one milestone. Getting back to running, playing or lifting with confidence is another, and it is often where recovery stalls.

At Halo, sports therapy focuses on that final stretch. We combine hands-on treatment, such as soft tissue work and mobilisations, with a structured, progressive exercise plan, coaching the fine details of how you move so every session counts. Working alongside our physiotherapists, we help you rebuild strength, regain confidence and reduce the risk of the same injury coming back.

Got a question?

Here are helpful answers to common queries about treatment, access and appointments. If you need anything else, just get in touch – we’re here to help.

How much does sports therapy cost?

We believe in transparency and value. An Initial Assessment is £105 (up to 1 hour) and Follow-up treatment sessions are 30 to 45 minutes from £62 upwards.

Do I need a GP referral to book?

No, you do not need a referral. You can book directly with us. If we feel you would benefit from a physiotherapy assessment first, we can arrange that within the Halo team.

Can I use my private medical insurance?

Yes, we are registered with major insurers including AXA and BUPA. However, many patients choose to self-pay to avoid the session limits or treatment restrictions often imposed by insurance policies, ensuring they get the exact care they need.

Who will treat me?

A qualified sports therapist, working alongside Halo’s senior physiotherapists. Sports therapists specialise in exercise-based rehab and getting you back to sport, while our physios have broader medical training and are best placed for new, severe or complex injuries. If you would benefit from seeing a physio first, we will arrange it.

What happens during the first session?

We talk through your injury, your history and your goals, assess how you move and check you are ready for active rehab. Most first sessions include hands-on treatment and the start of your exercise plan. If your injury is new or severe, you have had recent surgery, or you notice numbness or pins and needles, we may suggest starting with a physio.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goal and where you are starting from. In your first session we will agree a realistic plan and review progress as you go, so you always know where you stand.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable sportswear and trainers. Most sessions are active, so expect to move. For hands-on treatment you may be asked to expose the area being treated, and your privacy is respected at all times.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is parking available on the premises at Camden House. Detailed directions will be provided when you book and again in your booking confirmation.

Referred to Paul at Halo via AXA, after three months of prior treatment but no progress. Great service, efficient booking system, and most importantly excellent treatment and rehabilitation. Paul diagnosed my disc issue quickly and set out a clear, concise and very effective treatment and rehabilitation regime. Improvement came in days, with symptoms gone and now pain free in a few weeks - his impact has been very significant. I highly recommend.

I’ve been coming for chair Pilates (new yo me after years of Pilates) and have been very impressed- I can really feel the benefits and it has motivated me to improve my fitness levels.I have also had a physio session which was so encouraging. The physio was able to pinpoint the problem so at last I feel able to do something! Excellent all round. Such a friendly reception by all the staff!

I went to see Andree at Halo to have a much needed massage. It was brilliant! A real deep tissue massage which tackled all the knots. Also a very nice practitioner, great conversation. I’ll be back, Andree.

Halo Physiotherapy provides an holistic and supportive environment from initial contact to treatment. I thoroughly recommend them. My initial meeting with Jude was incredibly positive and during our discussion, I felt in very good hands from someone who is clearly very experienced and importantly likeable. Throughout my appointment I felt listened to and given insightful advice and lots of positivity. I left with a plan tailored to my situation and felt incredibly well supported and in good and safe hands. Thank you so much.
